She is a mother of two, and a data scientist, and would love to share her work with local schools to increase the quality of STEM learning locally.

Jan Rosenberg has been holding it down and ditmas Park for 38 years. Her father was a bookie before running a ladies clothing store in Peoria Illinois. She wishes she could have seen John Coltrane play, but her parents did take her to see Sammy Davis Jr at a nightclub in Chicago.

Jan founded the friends of cortelyou with a couple other folks, and has big vested interest in building community, whether as a professor of sociology at Long Island university, or a realtor in ditmas park.

Come meet Jan at our next reception along with 18 other neighbors, at Cafe nube, 940 4th avenue, Sunday December 3rd, from noon to 3:00 p.m. . All are welcome and it's free and open to the public.

Michele Cohen, I was surprised to find out when she walked in, is the daughter of the 71st precinct community council president Karl Cohen, who sat in the first free portrait project in Crown Heights, which I happen to have framed at the studio, and is the face of the project here on Instagram.

Suffice to say, we had lots to talk about. :-)
